Senior Certification Manager

PositionWe are looking for a Senior Certification Manager to join our Business Unit Short Range and lead the global certification strategy for our wireless connectivity portfolio. In this role, you will ensure that our products achieve and maintain regulatory compliance and market access across the world. You will work closely with Product Management, R&D, Program Management, certification authorities and external laboratories to define certification strategies, manage certification campaigns and ensure successful product launches. This is a highly visible expert role with significant influence on product development, customer engagements and business decisions. Certification is a business-critical capability that enables market access, supports customer success and protects product launch schedules. As Senior Certification Manager, you will be at the centre of bringing innovative wireless products to markets around the world while influencing technology, strategy and compliance decisions across the organisation. Responsibilities Certification Strategy & Market AccessOwn the certification strategy for the Short Range product portfolioDefine certification roadmaps for new products, variants and technology introductionsEnsure worldwide market access by maintaining compliance with regional and country-specific regulationsAdvise management on certification-related risks, opportunities and strategic decisionsRegulatory ExpertiseMonitor emerging regulatory requirements, standards and certification schemesTranslate regulatory changes into actionable product requirementsDrive adoption of new certification requirements and standards within the organisationAct as the internal subject matter expert for wireless certification and regulatory complianceProduct Development SupportContribute certification requirements early in the product development processParticipate in design reviews, risk assessments and FMEA activitiesInfluence product architecture to optimise certification cost, schedule and riskSupport project teams in planning and executing certification activitiesExternal Stakeholder ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with certification authorities, notified bodies and test laboratoriesNegotiate certification campaigns and optimise cost, timelines and test scopeRepresent u-blox towards certification agencies and industry organisationsEvaluate laboratory capabilities and recommend best-fit partnersCustomer & Business SupportSupport customers, FAEs, Product Management and Sales with certification expertiseHelp customers navigate regulatory requirements and certification pathwaysContribute technical expertise during customer discussions and escalationsContinuous ImprovementDrive improvements in certification processes, tools and governanceMaintain certification data, documentation and technical construction filesStrengthen organisational knowledge through training and mentoring What you bringRequirementsUniversity degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Electronics or a related fieldSeveral years of experience in wireless product certification, regulatory compliance or RF product developmentStrong knowledge of certification schemes such as FCC, ISED, RED, Bluetooth SIG and global market approval processesExperience working with certification laboratories and regulatory authoritiesAbility to interpret standards and apply them pragmatically to product developmentExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsFluent EnglishPreferredExperience with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular, GNSS or other wireless technologiesKnowledge of international standardisation activitiesPerksWorking in an international team with family atmosphere and great spirit An innovative environment, where you work independently in a team, but not alone An exciting and diversified field of work Working with new technologies We are located in a modern building near Dockan, in Malmö’s Western Harbour, within walking distance of the Central Station.
