Senior Network Engineer

Senior Network & Security Engineer Location: Göteborg, Sweden Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Senior Network & Security Engineer to strengthen the client's enterprise network and security operations. The consultant will be responsible for the operation, management, troubleshooting and continuous development of network, firewall, wireless and security infrastructure.The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Cisco ISE, Palo Alto/Fortigate firewalls, 802.1X/NAC, SD-WAN, MPLS, enterprise wireless networking and network automation. Key ResponsibilitiesManage and maintain enterprise network architecture and infrastructure.Configure, monitor and troubleshoot Cisco networking, 802.1X and NAC environments.Administer and manage enterprise firewalls, particularly Palo Alto and/or Fortigate.Support and maintain SD-WAN and MPLS environments.Manage Cisco ISE and network access control policies.Design, deploy and troubleshoot enterprise wireless networks, including 802.11/802.1X and RF optimisation.Perform network monitoring, troubleshooting and performance analysis using SNMP, NetFlow, logs and packet inspection.Implement network security best practices including network segmentation, firewalling, NAC and Zero Trust principles.Develop and maintain network automation using Python, Ansible, Terraform or similar technologies.Contribute to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and modern network automation initiatives.Support SDN and software-defined networking initiatives where applicable.Proactively identify and resolve network and security issues.Monitor network health, availability, performance and security.Document network configurations, processes and operational procedures.
