Senior Software Engineer – Java & JavaScript

Location: Malmö, Sweden

Assignment type: Consulting assignment

Onsite: 3–4 days per week in Malmö

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer for a long-term consulting assignment with an international company in Malmö.

You will join a highly skilled engineering environment and work on the development and evolution of modern, large-scale software solutions. The role requires strong hands-on experience in both Java and JavaScript.

The Assignment

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work closely with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams in an international environment.

Design, develop and maintain high-quality software solutionsDevelop backend services and APIs using JavaDevelop web-based functionality using JavaScriptWork with integrations and distributed systemsContribute to technical design and architecture discussionsWrite clean, maintainable and well-tested codeTroubleshoot and solve complex technical problemsParticipate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practicesWork closely with other engineers and stakeholders throughout the development lifecycleTake ownership of solutions from design through implementation and delivery

Must-Have Requirements

Strong professional experience with JavaStrong professional experience with JavaScriptExperience with backend and web application developmentExperience developing and integrating REST APIsGood understanding of distributed systems and modern software architectureExperience with automated testingExperience with Git and CI/CDStrong understanding of software engineering principles and clean codeExperience working in Agile development environmentsProfessional proficiency in English

Please note: Strong hands-on experience in both Java and JavaScript is mandatory for this assignment.
