MISSIONYou will join as a Senior UI / UX Designer (contractor) and own the end‑to‑end design of our cybersecurity SaaS platform, which helps manufacturers and security teams certify IoT and connected devices against international regulatory standards. You will shape the full product experience – from user research and information architecture to production‑ready interfaces – for a demanding audience of security engineers, compliance managers, and product developers, turning dense regulatory workflows into clear, efficient and trustworthy user journeys. ACTIVITIESLead UX research, user interviews and usability testing to understand the needs and behaviours of technical and compliance‑focused users.Design user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes and high‑fidelity mock‑ups for new and existing product features.Translate complex cybersecurity compliance workflows and data‑heavy use cases into clear, accessible UI patterns that respect user expertise while improving efficiency.Define and maintain a consistent design system and component library that maps directly to the React / TypeScript frontend implementation.Collaborate closely with the Full Stack Engineer throughout implementation to ensure accurate, production‑ready delivery of designs and smooth handover of specifications.Design interfaces for AI‑assisted features, making model outputs, suggestions and confidence levels legible, actionable and trustworthy for end users.Work with the Cybersecurity Standards Engineer to ensure that compliance requirements, certification flows and rule‑based logic are represented correctly and intuitively in the UI.Contribute to accessibility standards and help ensure the product meets relevant WCAG guidelines.Iterate on designs based on user feedback, product analytics and input from engineers and domain specialists. JOB EXPERIENCEAt least 5 years of UI / UX design experience for web‑based SaaS products; 10+ years is strongly preferred.Proven experience designing complex, data‑rich interfaces (dashboards, multi‑step workflows, structured tables, detail views).Experience conducting user research and usability testing and turning insights into concrete design decisions. Nice to have:Background designing for technical audiences (e.g. security tools, developer platforms, compliance software, enterprise SaaS).Experience building or contributing to a shared design system and component library.Experience designing for AI‑powered features and communicating uncertainty or recommendations in the UI.Exposure to accessibility auditing tools and WCAG conformance evaluation. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLSStrong proficiency in Figma or an equivalent modern design tool.Ability to produce both low‑fidelity exploratory flows and polished, developer‑ready component specifications.Working knowledge of how React component‑based frontends are structured, enabling effective collaboration with engineers.Strong visual design sensibility with solid command of typography, layout, spacing and hierarchy.Ability to simplify complex information without oversimplifying for expert users.Comfortable driving clarity through design artefacts in the face of ambiguous or evolving requirements.Collaborative and communicative, able to align effectively with engineers, cybersecurity specialists and product stakeholders.Willingness to advocate for design decisions while remaining open to feedback and iteration.Genuine curiosity about cybersecurity and the certification challenges our users face.Fluency in English; French or German is a plus.
