Service Designer (Freelance)
We are currently seeking an experienced Service Designer to join a major workplace transformation programme within a global organisation. This is an opportunity to influence the future of employee experience by embedding service design principles into a large-scale organisational change initiative. Working alongside cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders, you will play a critical role in understanding employee needs, identifying experience gaps, and shaping future-state workplace services and journeys. Location 📍 Gothenburg, Sweden (2 days per week on-site) Contract DetailsInitial 6-month contractStrong likelihood of extensionContract engagementUp to $650 per day (SEK equivalent)Key ResponsibilitiesLead the mapping of end-to-end employee journeys across workplace and organisational experiences.Identify, analyse, and categorise employee experience needs and pain points.Conduct service design discovery activities and synthesise insights into actionable recommendations.Translate research findings into clear service and UX improvement opportunities.Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, and workplace transformation leaders to design future-state experiences.Champion human-centred design methodologies and best practices throughout the programme. Required Experience Proven commercial experience in Service Design within complex organisational environments.Strong background in journey mapping, service blueprints, and user-centred research methodologies.Experience working on employee experience, workplace transformation, organisational change, or digital transformation initiatives.Ability to communicate insights and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and shaping solutions from discovery through to delivery. This role would suit a Service Designer who enjoys working at a strategic level while remaining close to user needs and experience outcomes.
