We are now looking for a Sourcing Manager to take ownership of developing a competitive, reliable, and scalable supply base for Teleste’s Public Safety and Mobility business. In this business-critical role, you will influence supplier strategy, cost competitiveness, and supply continuity for demanding electronics and technology products used in public transport, passenger information, and safety-critical operating environments. The role is located in Littoinen, Turku.
You will lead strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, commercial agreements, and cost improvement initiatives within your area of responsibility, working closely with engineering, operations, quality, and project teams.
This is an empowered individual contributor role, offering broad ownership and influence without direct people-management responsibilities.
Your Key Responsibilities
Lead strategic sourcing activities for selected categories, suppliers and materialsLead RFQs, supplier selection, negotiations, and commercial agreements with clear ownership of resultsDevelop supplier performance in cost, quality, delivery, and sustainabilitySupport new product introductions and engineering changes together with internal stakeholdersConduct market analysis, benchmarking, and cost comparisons to improve competitivenessIdentify supply risks, availability constraints, and obsolescence issues, and drive mitigation actionsMonitor and improve sourcing-related KPIs and supplier performance
What We Are Looking For
Several years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, and/or supply chain management in an industrial or manufacturing environmentProven track record in supplier negotiations, commercial agreements, and cost competitivenessAbility to deliver measurable negotiation outcomes in pricing, terms, lead times, or supplier performanceStrong understanding of technical sourcing, electronics, electromechanical and/or mechanical assemblies, or industrial manufacturing processesAbility to work effectively with R&D, production, quality, and project teams in a cross-functional environmentStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsExperience with ERP toolsWe're an international company, so you'll need to communicate confidently in both Finnish and English
