Call for Student Pilot Testers: AI-Assisted Engineering Simulation Platform (Ignite-AI) Organization: Virtwin-Energy AB (KTH Innovation Portfolio Startup)Target Group: Students at Stockholm-based Universities (Energy Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Process Simulation, Chemical Engineering, or related disciplines)Location & Format: Stockholm (Hybrid — Remote platform testing + weekly in-person meetings)Role Type: Student Pilot Tester / User ValidationAccess Model: Cloud Platform Access (No software coding or source code access)Compensation & Benefits: Unpaid | Free full access to the Ignite·AI cloud simulation platform for coursework/thesis work + Certificate of Participation & Reference What You Will DoTest Active Simulation Engines: Set up and execute 0D/1D combustion numerical simulations and evaluate ongoing chemical process simulation features.Propose New Features & Enhancements: Identify missing tools or functionality needed for real-world engineering tasks, recommend user experience improvements, and pitch feature requests directly to the founding team.Weekly In-Person Feedback Syncs: Attend a weekly meeting in Stockholm to review test cases, discuss UX improvements, and address solver behavior.Validate Time Savings: Measure and log the setup/execution time on Ignite·AI compared to traditional CAE tools (e.g., Ansys, Cantera, OpenFOAM).Report Convergence & Solver Behavior: Track simulation failure modes, convergence rates, and physical output accuracy across varied boundary conditions. Who Should ApplyStockholm University Enrollment: Enrolled as a student at a university in Stockholm (e.g., KTH, Stockholm University, or related institutions) in an engineering, thermodynamics, chemical engineering, or computational science field.Stockholm Location & Availability: Based in Stockholm with the ability to attend weekly in-person meetings.Domain Familiarity: Hands-on exposure to standard engineering simulation tools, CFD/chemical process solvers, or thermodynamics calculation frameworks.Feedback-Driven: Willingness to provide qualitative/quantitative feedback and proactively suggest new features.
