Technical Writing Specialist Position: Technical Writing Specialist Type: Contractor Compensation: $90–$140/hour Location: Remote About the OpportunityThis opportunity is for experienced Technical Writing Specialists interested in contributing to advanced AI research and evaluation projects.You'll apply your technical writing and communication expertise to create, review, and improve technical documentation, instructional content, product documentation, and other professional work products while contributing to the development of next-generation AI systems.No prior AI experience is required — your technical writing expertise and professional judgment are what matter.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate, review, and refine technical documentation for accuracy, clarity, structure, and usability.Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and accessible written content.Develop documentation such as user guides, technical specifications, process documentation, and instructional materials.Edit technical content for grammar, consistency, readability, accuracy, and professional quality.Organize complex information into logical structures that are easy for technical and non-technical audiences to understand.Identify gaps, inconsistencies, ambiguities, and inaccuracies in technical documentation.Apply established documentation standards, style guidelines, and content requirements.Provide clear, structured, and actionable feedback on AI-generated technical content.Collaborate asynchronously to deliver high-quality written materials aligned with project requirements.Required Qualifications3+ years of professional experience in Technical Writing, Documentation, Content Development, or a closely related field.Strong ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts.Excellent written English with strong grammar, editing, and proofreading skills.Demonstrated experience creating technical documentation, user guides, specifications, or instructional content.Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify inaccuracies, inconsistencies, and unclear explanations.Strong critical-thinking and analytical skills.Ability to structure information clearly for different technical and professional audiences.Ability to work independently in a remote, hourly engagement.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science, Engineering, English, or a related field.Experience working with software documentation, APIs, system architecture, or engineering processes.Familiarity with documentation and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Markdown, Confluence, or similar platforms.Experience with content editing, quality assurance, or rubric-based evaluation.Previous experience with AI evaluation, AI-generated content review, or model training projects is a plus.Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering, product, or technical teams.CompensationCompetitive compensation of $90–$140/hour.Independent contractor engagement.Flexible, project-based work.Application ProcessEasy Apply on LinkedInCheck Email for Next StepsParticipate in Resume Evaluation & Interview Stage
