Production Configuration Services (PCS) — Jeppesen ForeFlight, Gothenburg Jeppesen Foreflight is one of the largest software development companies in Gothenburg. We develop and implement innovative resource management and optimization solutions for the world’s leading airlines. We are dedicated to continuous improvement and delivering more value to our clients.

About the rolePCS sits between core support and finished implementation. Once an airline is live on our Planning & Operations products, we're the team that stays close to their configuration layer — fixing what's broken, refining requirements, and building the interfaces that make the product actually fit how they run their operation. This is not a back-office development role. You'll spend as much time on a call with a customer's team working through a requirement or a broken config as you will writing code. If you want to build software and never talk to the people using it, this isn't the job. If you want to solve real operational problems for airline customers and be the technical voice they trust, it is.

Responsabilities: Work directly with client teams to understand what they actually need, then configure and develop the solution — not just take a ticket and disappearRun technical interface for requirement change-assessment meetings with customersDiagnose and fix broken configuration in live customer environmentsDesign solution drafts, estimate effort, and implement the changes yourselfMentor and guide customer-side developers working in the configuration layerReview code, troubleshoot across software components, and support integration effortsBuild and maintain the interfaces and tools that connect our systems to the customer's environmentFeed patterns you see across customers back to product and support teamsFind new ways for clients to get more value out of what we already provide them

Basic Qualifications: 5+ years building and shipping software, ideally with direct exposure to clients or end users — not purely internal R&D5+ years working in Linux/Unix environmentsStrong PythonComfortable managing a codebase and pipeline (Git plus GitLab/GitHub or equivalent)Strong communication skills — you can explain a technical trade-off to a non-technical stakeholder and hold your ground with a technical oneAdvanced spoken and written EnglishLegally able to work in Sweden (no visa sponsorship for this role)

Preferred Qualifications: Airline or crew/operations planning experienceAgile team backgroundRelational database modelling, PostgreSQLTest-driven development (Gherkin, Behave)Containerization/virtualization (Docker, Kubernetes, Vagrant, VirtualBox)Cloud IaaS/PaaS (AWS, Azure)Camel, XML, data integration workShell scripting, functional programmingAdditional languagesAI prompt engineering

Why this role, specificallyYou get variety most dev roles don't: new feature builds, requirement analysis, live troubleshooting, mentoring customer developers, code review, and direct input into how a global airline runs its operations software. You'll work alongside 400 colleagues from 50+ nations in Gothenburg, with the autonomy to make real calls on real customer problems — not just execute a backlog.
