ASIC Test Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Test Engineer to join our team on a temporary assignment. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and debugging chip test benches, executing validation tests, analyzing measurement data, and coordinating test activities with both internal technical teams and external test-service providers.This is a hands-on role, with most of the time spent in the laboratory. Key ResponsibilitiesSet up, configure, and debug IC/chip test benches, including laboratory instruments, power supplies, evaluation boards, fixtures, cabling, automation scripts, and data-acquisition systems.Execute functional and parametric tests according to defined validation plans and test specifications.Collect, process, and analyze measurement data to identify anomalies, trends, and potential issues.Correlate test results with design expectations and specifications, and work closely with design and validation teams to investigate discrepancies.Troubleshoot test setups, measurement issues, and device-related problems.Develop and maintain test automation scripts and data-analysis tools using Python, MATLAB, or similar environments.Prepare clear and concise test reports, including plots, measurements, observations, pass/fail criteria, conclusions, and recommended next steps.Document test setups, procedures, results, and identified issues in a structured and traceable manner.Coordinate with external test houses / test-service providers on test setup requirements, test implementation, logistics, data exchange, issue tracking, and schedule follow-up.Participate in technical reviews and communicate test results and issues effectively to international teams.Contribute to continuous improvement of test methodologies, automation, and laboratory setups. Required ProfileMinimum 5 years of professional experience in IC testing, electronic system testing, validation, or a similar engineering environment.Solid hands-on experience with laboratory measurement equipment, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, electronic loads, source-measure units, and signal generators.Experience with PCB-based test setups, evaluation boards, fixtures, cabling, and laboratory instrumentation.Strong knowledge of structured data analysis and measurement interpretation.Mandatory experience with Python, MATLAB, or a similar programming/automation environment.Experience developing or maintaining test automation scripts is highly desirable.Ability to troubleshoot complex test setups and distinguish between test equipment, setup, and device-related issues.Experience with PMICs, voltage regulators, power management ICs, or mixed-signal devices is a strong plus.Comfortable working predominantly in a laboratory environment and performing hands-on testing.Strong attention to detail and a rigorous approach to measurement and reporting.Pragmatic, autonomous, and solution-oriented mindset.Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with international multidisciplinary teams.Comfortable interacting with external test houses and test-service providers.Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
