BMS Design Engineer – Data Centre ProjectLocation: Fully Remote – EU BasedContract: 6 Months + Potential ExtensionStart Date: October 2026Rate: £350–£450 per day DOEContract Type: FreelanceThe OpportunityWe are currently seeking an experienced BMS Design Engineer to support a major Data Centre project on a fully remote basis.This is an initial 6-month freelance contract, with the potential for extension beyond the initial project period. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the BMS design requirements throughout the project, working closely with the wider engineering and project teams.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and produce BMS design documentation and drawingsSupport the design and engineering of BMS and controls systems for a Data Centre environmentReview technical documentation, specifications and design requirementsCoordinate BMS design with wider MEP and building services disciplinesEnsure designs comply with relevant project standards and specificationsLiaise with project stakeholders and engineering teams throughout the design processIdentify and resolve technical design issues where requiredRequirementsProven experience as a BMS Design EngineerPrevious experience working on Data Centre projects or extensive experience in similar fieldStrong understanding of BMS, controls and building automation systemsExperience producing BMS design drawings and technical documentationAbility to work independently within a remote project environmentStrong communication and coordination skillsMust be based within the EU and have the appropriate right to work for a freelance engagementPackage£350–£450 per dayFully remote workingInitial 6-month contractPotential for extensionOctober 2026 startIf you are an experienced BMS Design Engineer with Data Centre experience and are currently available for a new freelance opportunity, please get in touch with myself at ben.harvey@clear-er.com
