Cheif Engineer - 5 Star Hotel

Role Purpose: Lead all engineering, maintenance and asset-protection activities to keep the property in optimal condition, compliant, safe and guest-ready at all times. Job Location: Juba Key Responsibilities:Own full operation of the engineering department (mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, BMS, life-safety systems).Implement a robust preventive maintenance plan for guestrooms, BOH areas, public spaces and technical systems.Ensure full compliance with local building codes, fire safety, health & safety and brand standards.Lead, train and schedule the engineering team; manage performance, overtime and training needs.Manage vendor selection, contracts and service-levels for specialized systems and capital projects.Control engineering budget, CapEx planning and energy-optimization initiatives to reduce cost per room.Respond to breakdowns and emergencies quickly to minimize guest-impact.Maintain exterior and curb appeal of the hotel, including facade, landscaping and parking areas. Candidate Profile:- 8-12 years hotel engineering experience, including 3-5 years in a leadership role at a 4/5 star property.- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Facilities Management.- Strong knowledge of hospitality building systems, energy management and HSE standards.- Proven track record leading multi-shift engineering teams in high-occupancy hotels.
