Chief Compliance Officer

I’m supporting a regulated European fintech with the appointment of a Chief Compliance Officer to lead its compliance function in Finland. This is a senior position with responsibility for the company’s regulatory compliance framework, regulatory relationships and compliance advice to executive leadership. 📍 Helsinki, Finland🏠 Hybrid – four days per week in the office💰 €100,000–€135,000 Key responsibilities:Own and develop the company’s regulatory compliance frameworkAct as a key contact for FIN-FSA and other relevant authoritiesAdvise senior management and the board on regulatory obligations and compliance risksOversee compliance monitoring, regulatory reporting, audits and remediationAssess the regulatory impact of new products, services and marketsMonitor Finnish and EU regulatory developmentsPromote a strong compliance culture across the businessThe ideal candidate will have:Finnish citizenship – mandatoryA university degree in Law, Finance, Economics, Business or a related fieldAt least five years’ relevant compliance experience, although significantly more would be preferredExperience within an EMI, payment institution, bank or regulated fintechStrong knowledge of Finnish and EU financial-services regulationPrevious exposure to FIN-FSA or another European financial regulatorFluent Finnish and EnglishExperience advising senior leadership and presenting to boards or committees
