Chief Compliance Officer

HireStakes is hiring for a Chief Compliance OfficerRemote (Europe) Our client, a growing iGaming operator, is looking for a Chief Compliance Officer to lead their compliance function across multiple regulated markets. You'll be the senior voice on regulatory strategy, working closely with the executive team to keep the business licensed, trusted and ready to scale into new jurisdictions. ResponsibilitiesOwn the compliance strategy across all licensed markets, ensuring the business meets regulatory obligations at every levelLead and develop the compliance team, setting standards and building out the function as the business growsAct as the main point of contact for regulators, licensing bodies and auditorsOversee AML, KYC and responsible gambling frameworks, making sure policies stay current and properly enforcedAssess new market opportunities from a licensing and regulatory perspective, supporting expansion plansReport directly to the executive team and board on compliance risk and regulatory changeWork cross functionally with legal, product and operations to embed compliance into day to day decision makingStay ahead of regulatory developments across key markets and translate them into practical business action RequirementsExtensive senior compliance experience within iGaming or online gambling, ideally at Head of Compliance or CCO levelStrong working knowledge of key regulators such as the MGA, UKGC and other relevant licensing bodiesDeep understanding of AML, KYC and responsible gambling requirementsTrack record of building or scaling a compliance functionConfident communicating with regulators, boards and senior stakeholdersComfortable working independently in a remote role across multiple markets and time zones
