Commissioning Engineer

Location: Espoo, FinlandContract Type: Freelance / ContractContract Length: 6 Months (Option to Extend or Go Permanent)Working Pattern: Fully OnsiteHours: 40 Hours per Week Key Responsibilities:• Manage and execute Level 1-3 commissioning activities across HV electrical systems.• Support testing, validation, energisation, and start-up of critical power infrastructure.• Commission HV switchgear, transformers, substations, UPS systems, and associated equipment.• Review commissioning documentation, procedures, and test packs.• Coordinate with construction, engineering, vendor, and client teams.• Troubleshoot and resolve commissioning issues during project delivery.• Participate in FAT, SAT, integrated systems testing, and final handover activities.• Ensure all commissioning activities are completed safely and in line with project specifications. Requirements:• Previous experience as a Commissioning Engineer, Electrical Commissioning Engineer, Commissioning Lead, or Commissioning Manager.• Strong electrical background.• Mandatory data centre experience.• Mandatory DC systems experience.• Experience commissioning HV electrical infrastructure.• Knowledge of switchgear, transformers, substations, UPS systems, and power distribution.• Strong understanding of testing, energisation, validation, and start-up activities.• Experience delivering Level 1-3 commissioning activities.• Fluent English.• Ability to work onsite in Espoo for the duration of the project.
