The Country Manager is responsible for leading and developing the company’s operations within the assigned country. The role ensures effective execution of business strategy, achievement of commercial objectives, and full compliance with applicable laws and company policies. The Country Manager acts as the primary representative of the company in the local market and is accountable for business performance, team leadership, and stakeholder management. Key Responsibilities Business Leadership and StrategyDevelop and implement the company’s commercial strategy within the country in alignment with global objectives.Drive business growth, market expansion, and profitability.Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and business plans.Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments.Ensure achievement of sales targets and financial objectives.Represent the company in negotiations with key partners, distributors, and authorities. Operational ManagementLead and manage all local business operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.Establish and oversee local processes in line with corporate standards.Coordinate cross-functional activities including sales, marketing, regulatory, finance, and logistics.Ensure high-quality customer service and professional stakeholder relations.Prepare regular business performance reports for headquarters. Team LeadershipBuild, manage, and develop a high-performing local team.Set clear objectives, monitor performance, and support employee development.Promote a culture of integrity, accountability, and collaboration.Ensure compliance with internal HR policies and labor regulations. Compliance and GovernanceEnsure all activities are conducted in full compliance with local laws, industry regulations, and company policies.Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities and external stakeholders where required.Oversee ethical standards and internal controls within the country organization. Position Requirements Education & ExperienceUniversity degree in business administration, economics, life sciences, or a related field.Minimum of 8–10 years of professional experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.Proven experience in sales, commercial leadership, or general management.Demonstrated track record of achieving business targets and leading teams. Skills & CompetenciesStrong leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making capabilities.Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to influence internal and external partners at senior level.High ethical standards and strong business integrity.Solid financial and analytical skills.Fluency in English and the local language; additional languages are an advantage.Proficiency in MS Office and business reporting tools.
