Role overviewAs a Cryogenic and Quantum Devices R&D Engineer at SemiQon, you will contribute to the development, measurement, and optimization of cryogenic electro-thermal and quantum devices. In this role, you will plan and perform low-temperature electrical measurements, analyze device data, and use modeling and design work to guide experimental development. You will work closely with researchers, engineers, and the fabrication team to connect device concepts, fabrication processes, measurement feedback, and performance improvements. ‍Key responsibilitiesPerform cryogenic electrical measurements of electro-thermal and quantum devicesModel and design devices to guide experiments and support performance optimizationPlan and execute experiments in collaboration with the R&D and fabrication teamsAnalyze measurement data and communicate findings to guide device and process improvementsWork closely with the fabrication team to connect device design, process development, and measurement feedback Qualifications Must havePh.D. degree, or equivalent experience, in physics, electrical engineering, nanotechnology, semiconductor devices, quantum technology or a related fieldHands-on experience with electronic transport measurementsHands-on experience with cryogenic experimental setups, especially in the sub-1 K temperature rangeStrong understanding of solid-state physics, electrical transport, and device physics‍Additional assetsUnderstanding of component fabrication, with hands-on fabrication experience considered a strong advantageExperience in modeling, simulation, or theoretical analysis of semiconductor, thermal, electro-thermal, or quantum devicesExperience in characterizing electro-thermal devices, such as Peltier devices or NIS-junction-based componentsExperience with custom thermometry, such as on-chip thermometry‍Note: Security clearance vetting may be required for this position.‍Join us in shaping the quantum futureAt SemiQon, you will join a fast-growing deep-tech company building the hardware to scale up quantum computing.
