D365 Finance Functional Consultant – Freelance ContractLocation: Remote – EuropeContract: Freelance / B2BDuration: 6–12 months initially, with potential extensionStart: ASAP / FlexibleWorkload: Full-timeLanguage: EnglishTravel: Minimal / occasional if required We are supporting a major Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations transformation and are looking for an experienced D365 Finance Functional Consultant to join the programme on a freelance basis. This is a fully remote opportunity for a consultant based in Europe who can take ownership of Finance workstreams and work closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, developers, architects and project leadership. Responsibilities:Lead and support the implementation and optimisation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.Gather and analyse finance business requirements and translate them into scalable D365 solutions.Run workshops with Finance stakeholders and key users.Configure and optimise D365 Finance modules.Perform fit-gap analysis and recommend standard functionality wherever possible.Produce functional design documents and solution documentation.Support integrations between D365 and third-party applications.Work closely with technical consultants and developers on extensions and integrations.Support data migration, validation and reconciliation activities.Prepare and execute functional testing, SIT and UAT.Support users through training, cutover, go-live and hypercare.Identify opportunities to improve and automate finance processes.Support localisation and multi-country rollout activities where required.Work closely with the wider programme team to manage risks, issues and dependencies. Required experience:Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations / D365 Finance.Several years' experience working as a D365 Finance Functional Consultant.Experience delivering at least one full lifecycle D365 F&O implementation.Strong functional knowledge across areas such as:General LedgerAccounts PayableAccounts ReceivableCash & Bank ManagementFixed AssetsBudgetingCredit & CollectionsFinancial ReportingTax / VATExperience running requirements and solution-design workshops.Strong knowledge of finance business processes and accounting principles.Experience with data migration, testing, UAT, cutover and go-live.Ability to work effectively with Finance users, technical teams and senior stakeholders.Excellent English communication skills.Ability to work independently in a remote international environment.
