Director of Manufacturing

Role Description The Director of Manufacturing is a full-time, on-site role based in Helsinki, responsible for overseeing all manufacturing activities across LabelMentor’s product portfolio. This role manages production planning, supervises day-to-day manufacturing operations, and ensures that all processes meet quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. The Director will coordinate closely with supply chain, quality assurance, and project teams to align manufacturing capacity with launch timelines and customer commitments. Responsibilities include optimizing workflows, implementing and maintaining Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, managing relationships with manufacturing partners, and driving continuous improvement in efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The role also involves building and mentoring a high-performing operations team and contributing to strategic decisions related to product and process scalability. Qualifications Strong expertise in Production Planning and Manufacturing Operations, with the ability to oversee complex multi-product workflows.Demonstrated experience in Manufacturing Operations Management, including performance monitoring, resource allocation, and process optimization.Solid knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards and experience implementing and auditing GMP-compliant processes.Proficiency in Supply Chain Management, including coordination with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and logistics partners.Proven leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams in a manufacturing or operations environment.Background in food, supplements, cosmetics, or related regulated industries is highly beneficial.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with comfort using data and metrics to guide improvements.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).Ability to work on-site in Helsinki and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
