Electrical Assembly Operator
About The Role
X Shore is looking for an Electrical Assembly Operator to build and install electrical systems for its boats. You’ll follow technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions to assemble components and ensure each installation meets quality and safety requirements. Working closely with production and engineering, you’ll help resolve assembly issues and contribute to a reliable, repeatable manufacturing process.
This is a hands-on, on-site role in a boat manufacturing environment. It suits someone who is practical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with electrical components and tools as part of a production team.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble and install electrical components, wiring, and systems in boats in accordance with drawings and work instructionsRead and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentationPrepare cables and harnesses, including cutting, stripping, crimping, routing, and securing wiresUse hand tools and electrical assembly equipment safely and correctlyInspect completed work and carry out basic electrical checks to identify assembly issuesReport defects, discrepancies, and missing or incorrect information to the appropriate teamWork with production, quality, and engineering colleagues to resolve technical issues and improve assembly processesMaintain an organised work area and follow safety, quality, and production proceduresRecord completed work and communicate progress in line with production requirements
Required Qualifications
Practical experience in electrical assembly, installation, or a related manufacturing roleAbility to read and follow electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructionsFamiliarity with electrical components, wiring, connectors, and cable preparationConfident and safe use of hand tools and assembly equipmentStrong attention to detail and a consistent approach to qualityAbility to work effectively as part of a production team and communicate issues clearlyCommitment to following workplace safety proceduresAbility to work on-site in Nyköping
Desirable Qualifications
Experience in marine, automotive, or another complex hardware manufacturing environmentExperience installing electrical systems in boats or vehiclesFamiliarity with basic electrical testing and fault-findingRelevant vocational training or certification in electrical assembly or installationExperience working with production documentation and quality checks
