About the Role:H&MV Engineering is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Construction Manager specialising in High Voltage (HV) substations to join our growing team. This regional role, based out of Finland, will support the delivery of complex electrical infrastructure projects across the region, ensuring they are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical standards.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional with strong leadership capabilities and a proven track record in HV substations.Key Responsibilities:Manage the full lifecycle of HV substation construction projects from mobilisation through to commissioning and handover.Develop, review, and manage construction schedules, resource plans, and budgets in collaboration with the Project Manager.Lead all on-site construction activities, including subcontractor coordination, procurement, logistics, and quality control.Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule, cost, and quality targets.Ensure strict adherence to H&MV’s safety protocols and industry best practices, promoting a culture of zero harm.Provide daily coordination with site teams to support all operational aspects of project delivery.Conduct regular site visits (minimum three days per week) across regional project locations to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure compliance.Oversee site setup, material management, and the effective utilisation of labour, tools, and equipment.Ensure continuous and effective communication between project office teams and on-site personnel.Provide strong leadership and direction to multidisciplinary site teams, promoting performance, accountability, and safety.Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.Conduct site inspections, audits, and meetings to ensure alignment with technical specifications, quality requirements, and statutory obligations.Support the professional development of site personnel through coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job training.Key Requirements:Proven experience as a Construction Manager, Site Manager, or similar role within HV substations, electrical infrastructure, or BESS projects.Strong technical knowledge of HV electrical systems, substations, transmission, and distribution networks.Demonstrated success in delivering large-scale electrical engineering or grid infrastructure projects on time and within budget.Excellent leadership, organisational, and decision-making skills.Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations in the electrical construction sector.Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.Proficiency in construction and project management software and reporting tools.Willingness to travel extensively across the region (minimum 3 days per week on sites).
