NUTS AND BOLTS OF THE JOB

Manages service aspects in all food and beverage assigned areas and eventsDrives forward Hilma, Generator Stockholm’s leading outlet, to become one of Stockholm’s hottest venuesFully integrate events programming to create genuine lifestyle experiencesPartner with the right suppliers to curate the food, coffee and craft beer experienceExceed the budgeted departmental P&L and be commercially savvy in exploring new revenue streamsHave a knack for activating spaces, making sure every square metre of space is monetisedConfirms that all service staff are in proper attire and adhere to the concept’s appearance standardsHires, manages and trains staff in all technical and non-technical aspects of their role including Hotel standards of quality and serviceCreates, maintains and distributes weekly schedules for staff and communicates changes as appropriate to allCommunicates with staff regarding reservations and/or special eventsConducts pre-shift and/or pre-event meetings with all necessary staffEvaluates and supervises performance and carries out disciplinary action as needed, in accordance with the Hotel’s policies Ensure 100% guest satisfactionResponsible for employee relation issues and reviews incidents with General ManagerCompletes and administers employee performance appraisalsConducts beverage, china, glass etc. inventoriesControls costs of beverage outlet by assisting management, as requested, in purchasing, maintaining effective profit and loss controls and monitoring labor costs following demand patterns, budget and local labor lawsMaximizes food and beverage sales by identifying and targeting sales opportunities through marketing including promotions and special events and by training staff on “up-selling.”Trains staff in and adhering to all safety, sanitation, food preparation, food storage and alcohol beverage control policies including confirming legal drinking age and discontinuing service to intoxicated guestsMaintains guest satisfaction by handing inquiries, concerns or comments and providing solutions; acquiring feedback from guests and co-workers in order to ensure satisfaction and/or implement service improvement ideas; developing new concepts to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat businessMaintain consistency of service by being aware of and prepared for all events, large parties and reservations that may affect food and beverage service operations Communicates and teams well with other departments.Other duties as assigned by management or ownership.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities

Primary duty is management and leadership, however, will be required to fill in as a Server, Bartender, etc. to relieve/back-up staff during peak periods or when short staffedAttends and participates in weekly meetingsImplements and supports all Hotel initiatives and programs and requested by managementTeams with other Hotel departments to ensure exemplary customer service and adherence to policies and proceduresMaintains knowledge of other similar F&B outlets and industry trends
