What you will own Product vision, strategy, prioritization, roadmap, and product quality with the founding team.Technical vision and architecture across frontend, backend, APIs, data, infrastructure, real-time systems, integrations, security, observability, and AI runtime.The agent platform: knowledge, context, tools, workflows, state, permissions, versions, deployment, evaluation, monitoring, and human escalation.Hiring, managing, and developing the complete product and engineering organization.Delivery, reliability, privacy, security, model performance, token economics, infrastructure cost, and operational learning.An AI-native engineering system built around coding agents, governed multi-agent workflows, measurable output, and human accountability. What we are looking for Significant experience scaling high-growth software or AI products, architectures, and teams through multiple stages.Strong product ownership and evidence of making consequential roadmap decisions.Deep full-stack judgment across backend and frontend systems.Production experience with native AI and agentic products, including orchestration, tool use, evaluation, guardrails, observability, latency, cost, and failures.Serious experience with coding agents and multi-agent engineering workflows.A strong record of recruiting and leading excellent engineers and technical leaders.Commercial judgment, product taste, direct communication, and founder-level accountability. You may have been a founder, CPTO, CTO, VP Engineering with real product ownership, Head of Product with deep engineering ability, or another technical leader who has already carried comparable scope. The title matters less than the evidence. This is a hands-on executive role. It is not a strategy-only CPO position or a people-management-only CTO position. Hands-on means staying close enough to customers, architecture, code, evaluations, and production to make excellent decisions, without becoming the team’s permanent bottleneck. This is probably not for you if You want a strategy-only executive position.You want to manage engineering while somebody else owns the product vision and roadmap.Your scaling experience begins only after the product, architecture, and leadership team were already mature.You treat frontend, product language, or customer experience as less serious than backend architecture.You want to reproduce the organization chart and process of your last company before understanding this one.You need abundant resources, narrow boundaries, or certainty before you can make progress.
