Generalist Writer Position: Generalist Writer Type: Hourly Contract Compensation: $40–$50/hour Location: Remote About the OpportunityThis opportunity is for experienced Generalist Writers interested in contributing to specialized AI quality and evaluation projects.You'll apply your writing, editing, and analytical expertise to assess written content and AI-generated responses for accuracy, clarity, consistency, completeness, and overall quality while helping improve the performance and reliability of next-generation AI systems.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and assess written content and AI-generated responses for accuracy, coherence, completeness, and overall quality.Evaluate whether written outputs appropriately follow detailed instructions, guidelines, and defined evaluation criteria.Provide clear, actionable, and objective written feedback focused on precision and consistency.Identify discrepancies, ambiguities, factual issues, grammatical errors, and areas for improvement.Systematically document findings using provided evaluation tools, guidelines, and reporting formats.Apply evaluation criteria consistently across a high volume of written materials.Participate in an initial four-week project sprint, with potential extension based on performance and project requirements.Commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week throughout the engagement.Manage assigned work independently while maintaining high-quality and consistent outputs.Required QualificationsNative US English speaker with exceptional command of grammar, syntax, tone, and written communication.Demonstrated professional experience in writing, editing, proofreading, content review, or other writing-intensive roles.Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify subtle errors, inconsistencies, and quality issues.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong focus on clarity and precision.Strong ability to follow detailed instructions and evaluation guidelines consistently.Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to objectively assess written information.Ability to provide concise, constructive, and well-supported feedback.Immediate availability with the ability to commit at least 20 hours per week.Ability to work independently in a remote, hourly engagement.Preferred QualificationsExperience with AI evaluation, content evaluation, quality assurance, or model-training projects.Background in professional writing, journalism, communications, content strategy, editing, or research.Experience reviewing large volumes of written content against structured rubrics or quality standards.Familiarity with documentation, reporting, and evaluation workflows.Strong time-management skills and ability to consistently meet project deadlines and quality requirements.Experience identifying and documenting instruction-following issues and content-quality discrepancies.CompensationCompetitive compensation of $40–$50/hour.Independent contractor engagement.Initial four-week project sprint, with potential extension.Minimum commitment of 20 hours per week.Application ProcessEasy Apply on LinkedInCheck Email for Next StepsParticipate in Resume Evaluation & Interview Stage
