Position: Global Director of Sales, Southern EuropePosition Reports To: Senior Global Director of Sales, EMEAKey focus markets: Italy, Spain, Portugal, FranceLocation: Home-based role but candidate must reside in one of the major cities of the key focus markets RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead Sales Strategies:Lead sales strategies in the assigned geographic market to achieve budget revenues and sales activation for COMO Hotels & Resorts. Sales Management:Responsible for managing and driving sales strategies for key accounts, key prospects, and partnerships across wholesale, leisure, corporate, consortia, and MICE market segments. Drive and maximize revenue and market share growth from each account, resulting in the achievement of individual and team sales targets. Strategic Focus:Develop strategic focus on account management, key partnerships, and distribution to increase market share. This includes managing client research, prospecting sales activities, and identifying sales opportunities within the geographic markets. Representation:Represent COMO Hotels and Resorts at both regional and international trade shows, exhibitions, and sales missions as part of COMO or with selected third parties.Customer Engagement:Organize, plan, and implement customer engagement activities to develop new and existing accounts and buy-out opportunities through product presentations, sales trips, luxury trade shows, and roadshows. Marketing and Training:Ensure all COMO properties are marketed effectively within tour operators/travel agent consultants and resellers by conducting in-house reservation/product team trainings, regular updates, and hosted familiarization trips. Optimise effectiveness, accountability, and use of resources for better ROI management. Relationship Building:Develop strong relationships with decision-makers and influencers within key accounts and partnerships. Develop and maintain industry supplier relations, including airlines, industry associations, tourist boards, and third-party groups that may be helpful to our future development and growth. Internal Coordination:Maintain excellent working relationships with all property Sales & Marketing teams and General Managers. Sales Planning:Contribute to the development of the annual commercial business plans and budgetary considerations for the assigned geographic markets. Team Support:Support other sales and marketing team members within the EMEA global sales team as and when required. KEY COMPETENCIESCommercial Relationships:Strong commercial relationships within the assigned markets are essential.Language Skills:Fluency in Italian and English essential. Proficiency in another European languages is advantageous but not essential. Technical Skills:Strong IT skills essential (PowerPoint, Excel, Word). Organizational Skills:Excellent organizational skills. Personal Attributes:Independent, positive, self-motivated, and supportive team player.Able to juggle and prioritize tasks effectively. Budget Management:Able to effectively manage budgets.
