Head of Core Enterprise Platforms & Applications

Step into a key leadership role at the heart of Saab’s digital transformation. As Head of Core Enterprise Platforms & Applications within Group IT, you will lead group-wide enterprise platforms, business applications, data, and AI capabilities, ensuring that Saab’s technology landscape is being transformed while enabling efficient, secure, and scalable business processes across the organisation. You will play a key role in enabling Saab's digital transformation by supporting the adoption of AI, cloud-based technologies, automation, and modern digital platforms.

Your role

As Head of Core Enterprise Platforms & Applications within Saab Group IT, you will be responsible for the delivery and development of key capabilities, including data and AI strategy, data and AI governance, data management, data insights and analytics, digital platforms, and core business applications.

You will drive Saab’s IT transformation agenda forward by ensuring adoption of AI, cloud-native technologies, automation, and modern digital platforms. This requires close alignment between business needs, technology enablement, and operational delivery across Business Areas and Group Functions.

The role includes line management of senior leaders and close collaboration across the organisation to ensure cohesion between strategic direction and operational execution.

This is a highly visible position that involves frequent interaction with executive stakeholders, and you will report directly to the Saab Group CIO. You will play a central role in modernising Saab’s enterprise platforms, enabling data-driven decision-making, and establishing the foundations for future AI-enabled capabilities across the enterprise.

We are looking for a senior leader with extensive experience managing complex IT organisations in a global context, combined with deep expertise in enterprise platforms, business applications, data, and AI.

You have a strong track record of driving transformation and operational improvements, with focus on cloud, AI and modern IT infrastructure. Combined with a deep understanding of enterprise applications, data management, analytics, governance, and modern technology landscapes including cloud and AI.

You are a relationship-oriented leader who is comfortable representing IT at senior management level, lead through others and drive change in large organisations.

Academic degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experienceMinimum 10 years of IT management experience, including several years of leadership of leadersExtensive experience in enterprise applications, digital platforms, data management, analytics, governance, and AI-related capabilitiesProven experience driving transformation with focus on cloud, AI and modern IT infrastructure and large-scale technology initiativesExperience modernising enterprise platforms and enabling data-driven operating modelsStrong understanding of data governance, data security, interoperability, and enterprise architecture principlesExperience from large global organisations; ideally including defenceExcellent communication skills and ability to manage complex stakeholder landscapesFluency in both Swedish and English, both written and spoken
