Head of Product Design | Relocate to Abu Dhabi

Location: Abu Dhabi (relocation package will be provided)Salary: 35,000 - 40,000 AED per month (~€100,000 per annum, tax free) We’re partnering with a technology company looking for a Head of Product Design to establish and lead a central Product Design function across its product portfolio. This is a founding, hands-on leadership role. You’ll initially be the sole designer, with the opportunity to build the function into a team over time. Your first priority will be improving the user experience of a core customer portal, while also establishing the design system, standards and ways of working that raise product quality across the organisation. What You’ll DoBuild and lead the Product Design function from the ground upEstablish the design strategy, operating model, standards and ways of workingLead the end-to-end design of the customer portal, from research and discovery through to deliveryCreate and evolve a scalable design system, patterns and UI standardsProvide UX and UI design across multiple product lines as a central design resourceConduct or commission user research and usability testing to inform design decisionsWork closely with Product and Engineering throughout discovery and deliveryCreate wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs as requiredChampion usability, accessibility and consistency across the product portfolioUse AI-enabled tools and workflows to improve design and product developmentDefine design quality and impact metrics across the portfolioDevelop the strategy and business case for growing the design function, including future hiring What We’re Looking For8+ years of experience in Product Design and UX, including senior or lead-level rolesProven experience building or establishing a design function or disciplineStrong hands-on UX and UI design skills, with the ability to operate as the sole designer initiallyExperience creating and maintaining design systemsExperience designing complex, technical or enterprise B2B products and portalsStrong user research and usability skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience working closely with Product Managers and Engineering teamsComfortable operating with significant ambiguity in a fast-moving environmentAmbition and ability to build and eventually lead a growing design team Why Abu Dhabi?Abu Dhabi is attracting top global technology leaders, offering an exceptional lifestyle with tax-free income, year-round sun, and a high standard of living.
