Materials Engineer | Remote

Position: Materials Expert

Type: Contract

Compensation: $80 - $130/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week

Role Responsibilities

Review, assess, and annotate technical materials datasets, literature, and documentation for accuracy and clarity.Formulate comprehensive explanations of advanced materials science concepts tailored to non-expert and expert audiences.Evaluate and provide feedback on AI-generated content related to materials engineering, metallurgy, and related disciplines.Develop and validate domain-specific scenarios, case studies, or problem sets for AI training purposes.Collaborate with interdisciplinary project teams to define and refine data requirements and quality benchmarks.Ensure that all deliverables meet established scientific standards and project specifications.

Have strong relevant experience in materials characterization, processing, selection, or testing across various applications.MS or PhD in Materials Science & Engineering, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field with a focus on materials specialization.Proven ability to communicate complex concepts in both written and verbal formats with clarity and precision.Proficiency in reviewing scientific literature and interpreting experimental data.Familiarity with digital tools for remote collaboration and technical content review.
