  • Publicerad 07.10.26 12:27

**Type**: Full-time and permanent

**Location**: Helsinki, Aleksanterinkatu 48

**Application deadline**: 20.10.2026

**Looking for a role where you can take real ownership and help shape the next generation of business-critical fintech software?**

MORS Software develops Treasury Management and Asset & Liability Management software for banks. The product is evolving from a primarily desktop architecture toward a browser-based experience, a durable application/API layer and governed AI/agentic capabilities through MORSia.

Now, MORS is hiring a **Senior Software Engineer** to join its growing engineering team.

**What will you be doing?**

As a Senior Software Engineer at MORS, you will take end-to-end ownership of key areas of its treasury and banking software. Your work will be backend-focused, with C#/.NET at the core, and will combine work on established production systems with building new solutions. Roughly 60% of the work focuses on the existing product and architecture and 40% on new development.

Your initial focus will be on Financial Planning and Payments, where you will take ownership of existing functionality while contributing to their continued development. Over time, your scope may expand into other areas of MORSs banking software.

Ownership here means more than implementing predefined tickets. You will work with Product and domain specialists to understand the underlying business problem, design the solution, implement and test it, take it to production, investigate issues, and improve it further. You will also have room to challenge existing approaches and influence technical and architectural decisions together with MORS's CTO and engineering team. **What makes you a great fit?**

You are an experienced backend engineer who enjoys taking responsibility for complex software rather than focusing only on an isolated part of the development cycle. You can navigate an established codebase, make pragmatic technical decisions, and move work forward independently even when every requirement has not been defined upfront.

You do not need previous banking experience, but you should be interested in understanding why the software exists and what it enables for customers. MORS values engineers who communicate clearly, challenge ideas constructively, and remain curious as development practices and technologies evolve.

**We require you to have:**

  • Around 5 years of professional experience with C#/.NET and strong backend development skills
  • Experience owning, debugging, and developing established production software and business-critical functionality
  • Strong SQL Server and data access skills, combined with a good understanding of REST APIs and systems integration
  • Experience with automated testing, source control, and CI/CD as part of professional software development
  • Good English skills and the ability to plan work independently, identify dependencies, and communicate technical risks clearly

**Additional skills we value:**

  • Experience with banking, payments, treasury, ALM, or another regulated or business-critical software environment
  • Familiarity with Azure and modern ASP.NET Core
  • Hands-on knowledge of modernizing legacy .NET applications, including WPF-based systems
  • Understanding of batch processing, long-running jobs, workflows, or audit-sensitive systems

**What MORS offers you:**

  • Take real ownership of business-critical software, with the autonomy to influence technical decisions and how your areas evolve
  • Play a key role in MORSs technical modernization, working with both established systems and new architecture
  • Develop deep expertise in banking technology by solving complex problems across Financial Planning, Payments, treasury, and risk management
  • Grow your scope as the engineering team expands, with room to take on broader responsibilities and influence technical decisions
  • Explore new ways of building software, including AI-assisted development, while having a say in how these tools are adopted

**Practicalities:**

This is a full-time and permanent position, and you will be employed directly by MORS Software. The position is based in Helsinki, with the current hybrid model typically involving around two-three days per week at MORS's office at Aleksanterinkatu 48. At the beginning of the employment we hope you will primarily work at the office. The preferred starting date is as soon as possible, taking the selected candidate's notice period into account. Salary in this position is 5500-7500 €/month depending on the level of your experience, and will be negotiated individually.

  • _Initial video interviews with aTalent: week 43_
  • _We will notify all candidates about the next steps by week 44 at the latest_
  • _Interview rounds with MORS: week 44 – week 45_
