Platform Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate secure and scalable cloud platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The role combines hands-on software engineering with cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD, and platform engineering. Contract Duration - 12 months + extensionsMode of work - Remote in EU and UK Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and build scalable GCP platform services and infrastructure.Develop platform services and APIs using Python & FastAPI.Build Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.Develop and maintain GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.Manage and optimize PostgreSQL environments and integrations.Drive platform automation, reliability, observability, and security.Improve developer experience and self-service platform capabilities.Support GCP networking, IAM, connectivity, and governance. Key RequirementsStrong GCP platform/cloud engineering experience.Strong hands-on Python development and FastAPI experience.Strong PostgreSQL administration and performance tuning.Advanced Terraform / Infrastructure as Code experience.Hands-on GitHub Actions and CI/CD automation.Experience with BigQuery, IAM, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, and Dataplex.Strong DevOps/SRE and cloud architecture fundamentals.Experience building secure, scalable, production-grade platforms.
