Principal Engineer - Agentic Delivery (.NET) THREE-MONTH FULL-TIME CONTRACT | REMOTE EMEA | UK/IRELAND HOURS Andela is recruiting a hands-on Principal .NET Engineer for a confidential client modernising an on-premise estate into a cloud-native platform. You will shape application architecture, ship production changes and help engineering squads adopt effective shared Claude Code practices. Contract details

• Three-month full-time contract. No extension or permanent role is guaranteed.
• Remote across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
• Eight hours aligned to the UK/Ireland working day, including seasonal clock changes.
• Full commitment to the agreed working hours is essential. Start date depends on availability and notice period.

What you will do

• Work with the CTO and architects to define application boundaries, patterns and key design decisions, then break these into deliverable work.
• Deliver real .NET stories using Claude Code, through tests, pull requests and deployment pipelines to production.
• Work alongside the existing delivery partner and pair remotely with squads during live sprints.
• Establish shared CLAUDE.md context, conventions, sub-agent workflows and review practices that keep generated code consistent with the architecture.
• Leave at least one working, reusable Claude Code skill per squad, grounded in its real codebase, database and business processes.
• Coach less experienced engineers and develop internal champions who can sustain these practices.

Essential experience

• Principal, staff or lead engineering scope within the last three years, including designing a new system at scale and owning key architecture decisions. Typically 10+ years overall; strong candidates with 8-9 years and equivalent ownership are considered.
• Strong application architecture: clean architecture, domain-driven design, domain modelling, bounded contexts and established design patterns.
• Claude Code as a primary daily production coding tool inside a delivery team. We seek sustained use, ideally dating from around June 2025. Please state your actual start month and year.
• Practical use of context files, sub-agents, context/token management and verification of agent output.
• Shared AI working practices adopted by other engineers, beyond individual use.
• Reusable Claude Code skills built against a real repository and database, rather than demonstrations alone.
• Strong recent C#/.NET production delivery.
• SQL Server and T-SQL, including stored procedures and performance tuning.
• Working competence in Angular.
• Hands-on Azure DevOps repositories, pipelines and work items.
• Remote pair-programming and coaching of less experienced engineers.

The engineering environment .NET, SQL Server and Angular, with Azure DevOps and Confluence. A CLI-first approach, using APIs where needed. Requirements can be thin, so pragmatic judgement and comfort with ambiguity matter. This role centres on using coding agents to deliver application software and enable teams. Experience building LLM/RAG products or using inline completion alone does not establish the required Claude Code delivery experience. Please attach your CV.
