Function: ProductReports To: CPOLocation: Remote · Europe (CET to EET) About NapsterFounded on the principle of democratizing access, first to music in 1999, now to expertise in the AI era, Napster has consistently remained at the forefront of technological shifts that empower users. Today, the company builds embodied, multimodal AI agents that engage employees and customers where they already work: through video presence, voice, and text. Designed to work alongside people rather than replace them, Napster’s agents carry institutional knowledge into every interaction, elevating the user’s experience and improving business outcomes. For more information, visit napster.com. About the roleThe Napster API lets a developer give their product a lifelike agent: a persistent identity that speaks, appears on video, remembers the people it talks to, calls your tools and MCP servers to get real work done, and answers or places phone calls. It is available to any developer, self-serve on napster.com and through the Microsoft Marketplace. You are the technical partner to the Product Manager for the Napster API. The Product Manager sets the direction, the roadmap and the priorities. You make the product move faster along it: you take an idea, investigate it, build a version, test it against real APIs, models and frameworks, and come back with evidence and a recommendation. A big part of the value you add is getting from "we should try this" to "I built it, here's what we learned."You are autonomous in how you work and collaborative in what we pursue. You don't wait for finished requirements. You spot the opportunity, run the experiment and bring the result to the product team. What you'll do Explore and prototypeTake promising ideas from the product team, the field and your own observation, and find out whether they hold up: prototype them, test them, measure them.Work with Claude Code and other AI development tools every day to build quickly and to evaluate new models, APIs and frameworks as they arrive.Turn what you learn into a short, evidenced recommendation the product team can act on. Make website agents self-serveOur web toolkit, built on the WebMCP standard, lets an agent see the site it sits on, navigate it and act on it for the visitor. Putting that agent on a customer's website today takes skilled hands. Investigate the current process, identify what to automate, build the tooling and prototypes, and work with engineering until an account manager can do it without you.Build the templates for the platforms our customers already use, starting with Shopify and the standard CMS platforms. Be the technical partner to engineering, sales and partnershipsJump into customer and partner calls when a deal needs someone who knows how the product works; help scope and unblock integrations; build the demo.Investigate technical issues from the field and get them to the right place with a clear diagnosis.Help the product team test releases and run the internal rollout before a general release. Evaluate before we decideBuild and run the evaluation suites behind model and prompt decisions: new realtime models, the Cascade pipeline, context limits, conversational quality.Bring the numbers, and a recommendation, to the product team. About you4+ years as a product engineer, solutions engineer, forward-deployed engineer or hands-on technical product manager on a developer platform or API.You read and write code, and you are at home in the browser: JavaScript, the DOM, embedded scripts, iframes and the security rules that get in their way.You build with current AI development tools every day and have shipped something with them recently. You start before the requirements are finished, and you would rather show a working version than argue about a document. You have walked customers through integrations yourself, patiently, and you know when the second walkthrough should have been a tool instead. You write clearly, and you measure before you recommend. Nice to haveExperience with voice, avatar or conversational-agent platforms.MCP servers and tool-calling agents.Shopify, Webflow or other CMS ecosystems.Telephony (SIP) integrations.Familiarity with the Microsoft developer and partner ecosystem.
