GENERAL SUMMARY: dataPARC is deploying its process information management system (PIMS) across the production sites of a multi-national chemical company headquartered in Germany, replacing the existing historian and displays. This is a multi-year program and the largest engineering services engagement in our EMEA business.This person will manage it on the dataPARC side. Approximately 50% of the role is program delivery for this customer. The remaining 50% begins as ramp-up and dataPARC product training, and converts into hands-on delivery on the same program, starting with German-language customer documentation and training, then moving into configuration and commissioning work.The 50/50 split role is deliberate: this is not a coordination job with an engineering title. You are the customer project lead's direct counterpart. The role carries the authority to resolve issues directly and the judgement to know which ones belong with our engineering and development teams. You have the full dataPARC organization behind you, and you are expected to use it._______________________________________________________________________ResponsibilitiesDelivery of the agreed work packages on the dataPARC side, on schedule and to the agreed scopeSingle point of contact for the customer's project lead, and the working relationship at that levelThe monthly delivery report, the project and site rollout plan, and the risk and decision logSteering committees at project-lead and management levelSizing and directing the delivery team, including implementation partnersCoordination with dataPARC development on open technical items and delivery datesScope discipline: spotting where a request has grown past what was agreed, and having that conversation early rather than lateDelivering the dataPARC training curriculum and enabling the customer's own trainers, so they can sustain it internallyHistorian and asset model configurationInterface setup and data validationDisplay and report migration from the incumbent systemSite commissioning and the initial support phase after each cut-overYou will also be the route back into dataPARC for what the customer actually needs, feeding detailed requirements into product design and developmentResponsible for your own personal safety, the safety of the team, and those around you.Work in accordance with and enforce compliance with all BTG policies (ex: Safety, Code of Ethics, Commercial Policy, Security Policy and Export Compliance) to maintain BTG reputation and image.__________________________________________________________________________________________Organizational Responsibility StatementResponsible for personal safety and the safety of the team. Much of the project communication, training and documentation with this customer is in GermanStrong OT and/or IT technical foundation, including OPC DA and OPC UA, industrial interfaces and connectors, historian or time-series data architecture, Windows Server and SQL, and OT-IT network segmentationCustomer-facing at both engineering and management level, comfortable holding a technical conversation with a senior stakeholder and translating it into business termsMigration or system-replacement projects. Greenfield-only project backgrounds are welcomeScripting in Python, PowerShell, or SQL, enough to be useful in configuration work___________________________________________________________________Required Education/ExperienceEight or more years delivering industrial software projects, including programmes above EUR 1 millionDegree in engineering (process, chemical, electrical or similar), computer science, or an equivalent combination of post-secondary education and practical experienceMulti-site or multi-plant delivery experienceExperience with PIMS or adjacent platforms: process historians, time-series analytics, MES. Familiarity with historian components such as asset frameworks, event frames, interfaces and connectors, and spreadsheet reporting add-insChemical or process industry experienceFormal project management certification: IPMA, PRINCE2 or PMPExperience producing customer documentation and delivering training__________________________________________________________________________________________Physical conditions/Working EnvironmentRequires prolonged sitting and/or frequent mobility.Occasional lifting to 20 lbs.Travel about 25%Requires manual dexterity to operate keyboard, calculator, and other office equipment.Requires normal range of visual and hearing.
