Quantity Engineer / Quantity Surveyor (Romania)

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Engineer / Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of a large-scale utility solar PV project in Romania. The successful candidate will be responsible for measurement, quantity verification, subcontractor quantities, progress assessment and supporting commercial and cost-control activities throughout the construction phase. Key ResponsibilitiesMeasure executed works from detailed drawings and accurate site records.Verify subcontractor monthly quantities and review payment applications.Prepare Bills of Quantities (BoQ) and carry out quantity reconciliations.Maintain detailed measurement records and supporting documentation.Monitor executed quantities against contracted quantities and identify discrepancies.Identify quantity variations and support the assessment of potential claims.Work closely with Cost Control, Contract Management and Construction teams.Support the evaluation of variations and change orders.Assist with forecasting final quantities and project costs.Provide accurate quantity and progress information to support project reporting and financial planning.Ensure quantity measurements and reporting are accurate and aligned with project requirements. RequirementsExperience as a Quantity Surveyor, Quantity Engineer or similar role within construction, EPC or renewable energy projects.Experience with measurement, quantity verification, BoQs and subcontractor payment applications.Strong understanding of construction drawings, Bills of Quantities and subcontract agreements.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quantity-related reporting.Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.Experience identifying quantity discrepancies, variations and claims.Ability to work closely with commercial, cost-control and construction teams.Experience within the PV/renewable energy sector is highly desirable.Experience on construction/EPC projects in Romania or Europe is advantageous.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
