SAP S/4HANA Technical Architect – Greenfield Project - 12 Months - Freelance Contract: 12 Months – FreelanceLocation: Hybrid / RemoteLanguage: EnglishNationality English EU or UK valid PassportStart: ASAP Project Overview A large international organisation is beginning the first deployment of a wider global SAP S/4HANA transformation programme. The business currently operates a complex SAP landscape with multiple regional and country-specific environments. This programme will establish a new greenfield S/4HANA architecture intended to become the reference model for future international deployments. The objective is to create a significantly more standardised and scalable SAP landscape across core business areas including Finance, Procurement, HR and Payroll, while simplifying legacy applications, integrations and data structures. The Role We are looking for a senior SAP S/4HANA Technical Architect to take an end-to-end view of the solution and bring together the different functional, technical, integration, data and infrastructure workstreams.This is not a module-specific functional architect role.The position is approximately 60–70% technical architecture and 30–40% stakeholder leadership and coordination. Key Responsibilities Own and validate the end-to-end SAP technical architectureBring together Finance, Procurement, HR, Payroll, integration and data workstreamsDefine how the solution should operate across applications, integrations, data, infrastructure and cloudAssess private/public cloud, hosting and deployment architectureValidate integration designs, interfaces, APIs and data flowsSupport the consolidation and simplification of the existing SAP landscapeProvide architectural oversight for historical data migrationEnsure the greenfield solution is scalable and repeatable for future global deploymentsChallenge designs and decisions produced by functional and technical teamsIdentify dependencies and architectural risks across workstreamsMaintain overall technical governance and design consistencyTranslate complex technical issues into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders Required Experience Extensive experience as an SAP Technical Architect / Enterprise Architect / S/4HANA ArchitectStrong experience on large-scale SAP S/4HANA greenfield transformationsBroad understanding across integration, data, infrastructure and SAP applicationsStrong knowledge of SAP cloud architecture and deployment modelsExperience with SAP landscape consolidationStrong understanding of data migration architectureExperience governing complex SAP and non-SAP integrationsAbility to work across functional areas without needing to be the specialist configurator in eachStrong understanding of fit-to-standard and architectural governanceBusiness Process Exposure
