Senior Staff Embedded Engineer - Data Centre - Ireland (ONSITE) - Relocation Offered We are seeking a Senior Staff Embedded Software Engineer to lead the architecture, design, and deployment of low-level firmware and platform software for next-generation data center AI compute systems. In this high-impact technical leadership role, you will own the firmware strategy across boot, power, security, and interconnects, driving SoC bring-up and platform integration at hyperscale. Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end firmware design spanning SoC, board, and platform levels (boot, reset, debug, security, power, RAS, IPC, and platform services).Own hardware/software integration and platform bring-up for multi-generational cloud-scale AI acceleration platforms.Set coding, design, and quality standards; mentor engineering teams; and lead cross-functional design reviews and complex system debugging.Work closely with hardware, system software, ODMs, and silicon vendors to ensure robust production deployment.Establish best-in-class debuggability, pre-silicon/post-silicon validation, and automated CI/CD pipelines.Required QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.12+ years of experience in low-level firmware or system software development with proven technical leadership.Expert-level proficiency in C/C++ alongside Python or Bash scripting.Extensive experience in SoC bring-up, Linux-based environments, and RTOS (e.g., Zephyr).Deep understanding of computer architecture (memory hierarchy, interrupts, DMA, coherency, interconnects) and JTAG/trace debugging. Preferred QualificationsPrior experience architecting firmware for cloud/hyperscale data centers or AI accelerators.Deep domain expertise in boot security, thermal/power management, RAS at scale, or high-speed interconnects (PCIe, CXL, NVLink).Proven track record in ODM and manufacturing partner ecosystems.
