Senior Fleet & Plant Technician

Gavle, Sweden Construction / Fleet / Plant & MachineryFull-time BenBau Group is looking for an experienced Senior Fleet & Plant Technician to support the maintenance, reliability and availability of our growing fleet of vehicles, construction plant, machinery and equipment.This is a hands-on technical role suited to someone with strong mechanical knowledge, excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to independently coordinate maintenance and repair activities in a fast-paced construction environment. Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out routine servicing, preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs on company vehicles, plant, machinery and equipment.Plan and coordinate preventative maintenance schedules, inspections and repairs to minimise breakdowns and operational downtime.Ensure that fleet, plant and equipment are maintained in a safe, reliable and serviceable condition.Respond to equipment and vehicle breakdowns and coordinate or complete repairs as required.Conduct regular inspections and identify defects, damage, misuse and potential safety concerns.Maintain accurate servicing, maintenance, inspection and repair records.Coordinate external workshops, suppliers and specialist repair providers when required.Monitor maintenance and repair costs, spare parts requirements and workshop consumables.Liaise closely with drivers, operators, site teams and management regarding equipment availability, servicing requirements and technical issues.Provide technical recommendations regarding the repair, condition and potential replacement of vehicles, plant and machinery.Ensure that all maintenance and repair activities comply with company procedures, manufacturer requirements and applicable safety standards. What We Are Looking ForStrong professional experience in the maintenance and repair of construction plant, heavy equipment, machinery and/or commercial vehicles.Solid mechanical and technical troubleshooting skills.Experience with preventative maintenance planning and equipment inspections.Ability to diagnose faults and determine appropriate repair solutions.Experience coordinating workshops, suppliers, spare parts and external service providers.Good understanding of workplace and equipment safety requirements.Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage several maintenance priorities simultaneously.Ability to work independently while cooperating closely with operational and site teams.Comfortable working in an international construction environment.Willingness to travel between projects when operationally required.English communication skills suitable for working in an international organisation.
