Senior Fullstack Engineer - with focus on frontend
We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join Palico in Data Platform. The team owns the Data Application Portal (DAP), the Data Quality Service (DQS), and a suite of internal developer portal tools that measure and surface the quality of User Behavior Data across the company. Our squad is looking for a platform engineer specialized in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Java backend development to help build internal tools, APIs, and dashboards that allow data application owners and engineering squads to monitor, triage, and improve data quality at scale. As part of this squad, you will closely collaborate with our internal customers (e.g., data application owners, spec-owning squads, data consumers, insight managers) to determine the best solutions to scalably meet their needs.
What You’ll Do
Work in a fast-paced environment to build and evolve data quality tooling for our developersCollaborate with other engineers, data scientists, designers, user researchers and product managers to craft the best possible user experience on our internal tools and infrastructureBuild and maintain internal developer portal plugins and dashboards that surface data quality metrics and compliance scoresEvolve the Data Quality Service (DQS) , the Java backend that serves quality metrics, manages issues, and auto-creates Jira tickets when quality thresholds are breachedImprove the onboarding experience for teams adopting data quality objectives, golden path examples, clearer configuration, lower barrier to entryIdentify pain points in adoption and integration experience of our engineers to our internal toolsEnsure the developer experience is seamless for all developers
Who You Are
You are experienced with modern JavaScript/TypeScript coding, testing, debugging, and automation techniquesSome Java Experience is required. You are passionate about building a good developer experience by creating robust APIs and dashboards for monitoring data qualityYou have a quality-mindset and are interested in all parts of software development: coding, testing, deployment, monitoringYou are comfortable around infrastructure and have some Java coding experienceYou care about the user experience and know how to build user-friendly web applicationsIt is a bonus if you have experience with any of the following areas: GCP, Kubernetes, GRPC, protobuf, large scale data pipelines.Experience working with platform teams.
