Senior Medical Director - Cell & Gene Therapy StrategyUK/EU | Fully Remote | Competitive Executive Package Are you a physician with deep Cell & Gene Therapy experience looking to influence multiple development programs rather than just one? We're supporting the search for a senior medical leader to join the Cell & Gene Therapy Centre of Excellence within one of the world's leading clinical development organizations. Working across gene therapy and gene editing programs, you'll partner with biotech and pharma sponsors to shape development strategy, solve complex clinical challenges, and help bring innovative therapies to patients faster. This is a highly strategic, externally facing role combining scientific leadership, clinical development expertise and commercial influence. The OpportunityAs the Medical Strategy Lead, you'll act as a trusted scientific advisor to sponsors developing next-generation Cell & Gene Therapy products. You'll work alongside clinical, regulatory, operational and commercial teams to build development strategies, support business growth, and provide expert guidance across multiple client programs. Rather than overseeing a single pipeline, you'll have the opportunity to influence a broad range of innovative assets across the Cell & Gene Therapy landscape. What You'll Be DoingPartner with biotech and pharma sponsors to shape clinical development strategiesAdvise on protocol design, feasibility, regulatory strategy and clinical development planningSupport scientific discussions during proposal development and bid defence meetingsWork alongside commercial and operational teams to win and deliver complex Cell & Gene Therapy programsRepresent the organization as a scientific expert through presentations, publications and industry engagementKeep abreast of the evolving Cell & Gene Therapy landscape and help drive future strategy We're Interested In Speaking To Physicians Who HaveMDStrong experience within Cell & Gene Therapy, particularly Gene Therapy or Gene EditingExperience in clinical development, clinical research or translational medicineA solid understanding of early clinical development, protocol design and regulatory strategyThe ability to communicate confidently with sponsors, KOLs and senior internal stakeholdersA commercial mindset and an interest in shaping the future of advanced therapeutics Why This Role?This is an opportunity to step away from managing a single asset and instead influence the development of multiple cutting-edge Cell & Gene Therapy programmes across the industry.
