About The London Coalition (LC) The London Coalition on Sustainable Sovereign Debt is an independently governed, results-oriented multistakeholder initiative convened by the Sustainable Sovereign Debt Hub (SSDH), for which SSDH acts as Secretariat, hosted by NatureFinance. The Coalition brings together governments, private sector financial institutions, international organizations and market participants to develop and implement pragmatic, market-based solutions that support more sustainable and affordable sovereign financing and improve debt restructuring outcomes for emerging and developing economies. Role Overview The Senior Programme Coordinator (SPC) will provide the operational backbone of the London Coalition Secretariat, helping turn the Coalition's priorities into coordinated action and ensuring that workstreams, governance processes, stakeholder engagement and key deliverables stay on track.This is a highly connected role at the centre of a fast-moving, international initiative. You will work closely with senior leadership, Coalition members, working groups and partners to bring structure to complex programmes, anticipate what needs to happen next and make sure commitments turn into action.The SPC reports to the Innovative Finance Lead, acting as interim SSDH Lead and works directly with the Secretariat Lead, Associate Director and wider Secretariat team to ensure effective programme delivery, operational follow-through and coordination across all Coalition workstreams. They will also serve as the primary point of coordination for the day-to-day functioning of the Secretariat, enabling senior leadership to focus on strategic priorities while ensuring actions, commitments and deliverables progress efficiently and on schedule. Key Responsibilities Programme Management and DeliveryAct as custodian of the London Coalition Roadmap (or an equivalent document developed for this purpose), holding a full picture of deliverables, timelines, dependencies and priorities, and keeping the Secretariat focused on what matters most to delivery.Serve as the central coordination point for Secretariat planning, operational delivery and programme management, gathering team feedback and communicating deadlines and delivery expectations.Coordinate work planning, timelines, stakeholder engagement schedules and Secretariat priorities so delivery stays aligned with agreed objectives.Build and maintain the project management tools, reporting systems, trackers and processes that underpin efficient delivery.Identify delivery risks, bottlenecks and interdependencies, escalating to Secretariat leadership as appropriate.Track actions, deliverables and commitments with the relevant team members to ensure follow-through, reporting regularly on progress and outstanding priorities.Support Secretariat leadership and the programme administrator in coordinating across Coalition partners, working group leads and colleagues to ensure workplans are aligned and implemented.Monitor partner events and conferences, flagging opportunities to showcase the LC and its outputs to its various constituencies. Governance & Stakeholder CoordinationSupport the operational running of the two working groups and the Steering Committee: scheduling, pre-meeting outreach and agenda preparation (with content specialists), logistics, papers circulation (with the programme administrator), and action tracking.Maintain a clear, current record of decisions, action items and outstanding commitments across all LC governance structures, following up proactively with the responsible Secretariat team member so nothing slips.Monitor progress against agreed actions across all Coalition workstreams, chasing content specialists and Secretariat leadership as relevant to ensure timely completion.Develop systems and processes that support transparency, accountability and visibility across the Coalition's programme of work.With Secretariat colleagues and the programme administrator, ensure co-chairs and working group leads receive briefing materials, agendas and pre-reads in good time and to the standard these relationships require.With the programme administrator, coordinate meeting logistics across multiple time zones and institutional calendars. Communications With the NatureFinance Comms team, maintain and regularly update the LC website so content stays current, accurate and reflective of the Coalition's latest outputs and governance structures.Support the production of LC publications, consultation papers and public outputs, working with the Secretariat Lead, content specialists and NF Comms on timing, format and messaging.Serve as the weekly briefing link between the LC Secretariat and NF's internal comms team, ensuring they have what they need to support the LC proactively rather than reactively.Coordinate publication schedules, stakeholder outreach and communications planning in line with Secretariat priorities and delivery timelines. Events and conveningsSupport planning and coordination for LC events, roundtables and working group sessions, venue or platform arrangements, invitations, participant management and on-the-day support with the programme administrator leading on operational logistics.Support the Secretariat Lead and Associate Director in preparing major convenings, managing agendas, materials and follow-up communications alongside the programme administrator. Stakeholder relationship supportSupport the programme administrator in maintaining an organised and current stakeholder database for the LC,tracking engagement history, organisational affiliations, and contact details across member institutions. Knowledge Management and Impact SupportIn collaboration with the programme administrator, maintain organised filing and documentation system for all LC materials, ensuring the team has easy access to institutional memory and key documents.Maintain systems that support continuity, knowledge sharing, and effective organisational management. Qualifications & SkillsEssentialExceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities without losing sight of the detail.Strong project management experience, including coordinating multiple stakeholders and timelines.Experience developing and maintaining project plans, delivery trackers, reporting frameworks or workflow systems.Excellent written and verbal English, with the ability to communicate confidently with senior institutional stakeholders.A proactive, independent working style with strong follow-through and the ability to anticipate what needs to happen next.Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 and collaborative working tools.Good judgement, discretion and comfort handling sensitive information.Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can evolve. DesirableExperience working in a programme coordination, secretariat or executive support role.Experience in an international policy, finance or development environment.Familiarity with sovereign debt or international financial institutions. The contract is subject to programme needs and available funding, with potential for renewal.The role is fully remote, with candidates in UK/European time zones or within approximately 1–2 hours of UK time preferred and an expectation that they work predominantly within UK business hours.Because NatureFinance operates across multiple geographies, the role requires effective virtual collaboration, strong written communication and comfort working across time zones.Occasional travel may be required for team retreats or key organisational meetings, with advance notice and covered by NatureFinance.
