Senior Project Manager – SAP to Azure Migration Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with 10–15+ years of experience to lead a strategic SAP infrastructure transformation and migration program. The assignment involves migrating a large enterprise SAP landscape from a traditional data center environment to Microsoft Azure, with an external system integrator responsible for the technical delivery. The Project Manager will act as the primary client-side representative, providing project leadership across governance, stakeholders, vendors, risks, budgets, milestones, dependencies, and executive communication. The role requires close coordination across SAP, infrastructure, security, application, business, and cloud teams across multiple countries. Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage a large-scale SAP infrastructure transformation and migration program.Represent the client organization and oversee delivery by external system integrators and technical vendors.Establish and maintain effective project governance, reporting, risk management, and decision-making processes.Manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, budgets, issues, risks, and resources.Coordinate across SAP, infrastructure, cloud, security, application, and business teams.Manage relationships with senior stakeholders, vendors, system integrators, and third-party service providers.Prepare and lead steering committee and executive-level communications.Oversee migration planning, testing, cutover, business readiness, and transition to operations.Ensure technical delivery remains aligned with business objectives and organizational priorities.Drive resolution of complex issues, dependencies, risks, and delivery challenges.Ensure appropriate security, operational, regulatory, and compliance requirements are addressed.Support infrastructure modernization, high availability, disaster recovery, and operational readiness activities.Ensure a structured and successful transition from project delivery into business-as-usual operations. Must-Have Skills & Experience 10–15+ years of experience in senior project/program management.Proven experience leading large-scale IT transformation programs.Strong experience managing SAP infrastructure, hosting, and migration projects.Extensive knowledge of SAP environments, including:SAP ECCSAP S/4HANASAP BWSAP PI/POSAP BTPProven experience overseeing SAP migrations to Microsoft Azure.Strong understanding of:Cloud migrationInfrastructure modernizationData center migrationHigh Availability (HA)Disaster Recovery (DR)Operational readinessStrong risk, stakeholder, vendor, and communication management skills.Experience working with global system integrators, outsourcing partners, and external vendors.Experience managing complex multi-country and multi-stakeholder environments.Experience working with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies. Nice to HaveExperience with enterprise-scale SAP-to-Azure migrations.SAP and/or Microsoft Azure certifications.Experience working within Nordic or multinational enterprise environments.ITIL, service management, and operational transition experience.Experience with SAP infrastructure modernization and cloud transformation programs.
