Job Overview

The QHSES Assurance Specialist applies their conceptual QHSES Assurance knowledge with moderate guidance and direction from colleagues and leadership. They are responsible for solving a range of straightforward QHSES Assurance problems. They will be responsible for analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures and building knowledge of the company, processes, and customers. The QHSES Assurance Specialist understands key business drivers and applies this knowledge to solve problems in straightforward situations by analyzing possible solutions using technical experience, judgment, and precedents.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Verify implementation of the Project Quality Plan, procedures and contractor quality systemsPlan and execute system and process audits and risk-based surveillanceReview ITPs and quality records for adequacy, traceability and complianceAttend Contractor Kick-Off Meetings, chair Pre-Inspection Meetings and lead/participate in regular Contractor Quality MeetingsManage NCR/CAPA trends, action follow-up and escalation of systemic, overdue or high-risk issuesAnalyze contractor quality performance and provide concise management reportingSupport lessons learned, continuous improvement and progressive handover readinessApply the NCR/QOC lifecycle: identification, containment, disposition, technical review, root cause, corrective action, effectiveness verification and closureUnderstand ITP Hold/Witness/Review/Surveillance points, inspection notification, objective evidence, traceability and acceptance recordsProvide quality reporting covering activity, rejections, open/aged issues, trends, critical risks, actions and look-aheadEscalate repeat, systemic, overdue or high-risk quality issues through the EPCM quality organizationSupport punch management, progressive dossier completion and handover readinessMaintain professional independence and base acceptance decisions on approved requirements and objective evidenceCoordinate effectively with Contractor, Construction, Engineering, Client Quality and discipline inspectorsParticipate in relevant Kick-Off, Pre-Inspection and recurring Contractor Quality meetings; prepare evidence and close assigned actionsApply a risk-based approach to critical, irreversible and high-rework activitiesPromote prevention, early intervention, lessons learned and continuous improvementEnsure quality records accurately represent executed work and support system completion and turnoverTechnical judgement and attention to detailIntegrity and constructive challengeClear written and verbal communicationProblem solving and disciplined follow-upAbility to work in a multicultural EPCM environment

Essential Qualifications and Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical degreeMinimum 5 years of QA/QC experience on industrial EPC/EPCM construction projectsStrong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 19011, ITPs, NCR/CAPA, audit principles and contractor quality managementDemonstrated competence to plan and execute system and process auditsStrong analytical, reporting, communication, facilitation and constructive-challenge skillsMultidiscipline exposure across Civil, Steel Structures, E&I, Mechanical and Piping is strongly preferred

Preferred Qualifications

Recognized ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification is preferredIRCA-certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor / Auditor qualification is a major advantageLean Six Sigma Green Belt qualification is a major advantageAdditional quality, auditing, root-cause analysis or continuous-improvement credentials are advantageous
