Senior System Engineer

We are currently looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join an innovative technology company in Lund. About the roleAs a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a central and leading role in developing advanced sensor systems and technical solutions with high requirements for performance, reliability, and safety. You will take a system-level perspective and ensure that hardware, software, sensors, and other subsystems work together effectively within the complete product.You will collaborate closely with specialists in software, electronics, mechanics, optics, and testing. The role requires someone who can create structure, establish a clear technical direction, and lead cross-functional engineering activities from initial concept to a functioning and verified solution.Your responsibilities may include:Developing and maintaining system architecturesDefining, analyzing, and breaking down system requirementsEnsuring traceability between requirements, design, implementation, and verificationLeading and coordinating technical activities across engineering disciplinesCoordinating interfaces between hardware, software, sensors, and external systemsPlanning and supporting system integration, verification, and validationPerforming technical risk assessments and system performance analysesCollaborating with internal teams, external partners, customers, and suppliersCommunicating technical decisions and creating alignment between stakeholdersProviding technical leadership and guidance to development teams and project management Basic qualificationsWe are looking for someone who has:A relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineeringSeveral years of experience in systems engineering or complex product developmentExperience in requirements management, system architecture, and technical documentationA strong understanding of hardware and software interactionExperience in system integration, verification, and validationExperience leading technical activities or cross-functional engineering teamsThe ability to approach complex technical challenges in a structured mannerExcellent communication skills in Swedish and English Experience in the following areas is considered an advantage:The automotive industry, particularly ADAS, autonomous systems, or active safety systemsSensor-based systems, computer vision, optics, radar, lidar, or camera technologyFunctional safety and standards such as ISO 26262Model-based systems engineering and requirements management toolsThe Swedish Armed Forces, defence industry, or another safety-critical and regulated environmentProduct development from early concepts and prototypes through testing and industrialization#LI-IK1 #SIEMeritorious skills, characteristics and experienceYour personal qualities are essential for succeeding in this role.
