Senior Medical Writer / Scientific Communications Consultant | High-Impact Publication Project I’m working on a high-profile scientific publication project with an innovative biotech and am looking to connect with a senior medical/scientific writer or scientific communications consultant who wants to work on something genuinely interesting. The ambition is to develop a publication with the potential to be submitted to Nature or another leading international scientific/medical journal. This is not a conventional medical writing brief. You’ll be working closely with senior scientific and leadership stakeholders, taking complex scientific thinking from multiple contributors and helping turn it into one compelling, scientifically rigorous story capable of standing up to the expectations of a top-tier journal. The opportunityShape the scientific narrative from the ground upWork directly with senior scientific experts and KOLsLead the development of a high-level scientific manuscriptCritically assess evidence, literature and scientific rationaleContribute to publication strategy and high-impact journal positioningCoordinate input from multiple senior contributorsWork towards a potential submission to Nature or another leading journal We’re looking for someone with:• Significant experience in medical/scientific writing or scientific communications• A strong track record of peer-reviewed publications/manuscript development• Excellent scientific literacy and the ability to interrogate complex data• Experience working with senior scientists, clinicians and/or KOLs• Confidence shaping a scientific narrative rather than simply executing a brief• Pharma, biotech, medical communications or academic research experience Highly relevant therapeutic/scientific expertise is important.Remote – Europe considered3-month consultancy | September start2–3 days per weekOutside IR35 This would suit a senior writer/scientific communicator who wants to be close to the science, work directly with decision-makers and contribute to a publication with genuine high-impact ambitions. 📩 Interested?
