Solution Architect (WMS)

For one of our leading logistics clients, we are searching for an experienced Solution Architect (Blue Yonder WMS) to support the design, implementation and optimisation of complex warehouse management solutions across customer environments. This is a highly visible, customer-facing role where you'll work closely with stakeholders, project teams and operational leaders to deliver scalable, efficient and sustainable Blue Yonder WMS solutions from project inception through to go-live and hyper care. Role ResponsibilitiesLead Blue Yonder WMS solution design, architecture and implementation across customer projectsGather, analyse and document business and technical requirements from stakeholdersTranslate complex logistics and warehouse processes into scalable system solutionsOwn technical workstreams and coordinate delivery across project teams, operations and customer stakeholdersDesign integration architectures between Blue Yonder WMS and surrounding systems including ERP, TMS and automation platformsProvide solution-oriented consultancy and build trusted relationships with customers throughout project deliveryIdentify opportunities for process improvement, standardisation and operational efficiencyProduce technical specifications, architecture documentation and implementation plansSupport testing, deployment, go-live activities and hyper care phasesDrive adoption of Blue Yonder standard functionality and architectural best practicesContribute to the evolution and harmonisation of the wider Blue Yonder solution architecture landscapeEnsure solutions remain scalable, maintainable and aligned with organisational architecture standardsSupport knowledge transfer activities with customers, key users and internal support teams RequirementsProven experience as a Solution Architect focused on Blue Yonder WMS (formerly JDA)Extensive experience delivering end-to-end Blue Yonder WMS implementation projectsStrong understanding of warehousing, distribution and logistics business processesExperience designing complex system architectures and integration solutionsHands-on experience integrating WMS platforms with ERP, TMS and automation technologiesStrong requirements gathering, solution design and stakeholder management capabilitiesAbility to align customer requirements with standard Blue Yonder functionality and best practiceExperience working within Agile, Waterfall or hybrid project delivery methodologiesStrong documentation, specification writing and technical communication skillsExperience managing implementation risks and driving resolution of complex technical challengesExcellent customer-facing consulting and workshop facilitation experienceStrong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersExperience working within international and cross-functional delivery environments Role DetailsLocation: RemoteTravel Requirement: Occasional customer visits across national and international project locationsEnvironment: Blue Yonder WMS, ERP Integration, Warehouse Automation, Supply Chain TechnologyLanguages: Fluent English, German a bonusContract: Permanent or Freelance (depending on candidate suitability)
