Surgical Science builds medical simulation technology used in operating rooms and training centers worldwide. Behind every haptic feedback device and surgical simulator is a supply chain that has to be as precise as the products themselves. As our Sourcing Lead for EU and Americas, you'll own the supply chain for your region — building the supplier relationships and strategies that keep our production running and our quality standards uncompromised.

This is a senior role based at our headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden, and you'll be a key part of our Operations leadership team. You'll lead and work closely with colleagues in R&D, Production, and operations across multiple markets.

What You'll Actually Do

Design and execute regional sourcing strategies that balance cost, quality, and supply security across EU and non-APAC marketsBuild and manage long-term supplier relationships — from initial qualification to ongoing performance management and contract negotiationsDrive supplier performance, holding partners accountable to our delivery, quality, and cost targetsLead supplier diversification and risk mitigation initiatives, ensuring we're never dependent on a single source for critical componentsEnsure all procurement activity complies with our policies and supports our quality management standardsCollaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, and finance to align sourcing decisions with business prioritiesIdentify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement without compromising on qualityTravel globally to meet suppliers and establish long-term relationships

What You Need To Bring

5–8 years of procurement or sourcing experience, ideally in a manufacturing or hardware-focused environmentProven track record in supplier negotiations and relationship management — you know how to get to yes and how to make partnerships lastStrong analytical skills: you can translate supplier data and market signals into smart sourcing decisionsExperience managing or leading a teamClear, confident communicator — in writing and in conversation — in English (Swedish is a plus, not a must)Comfortable working across time zones and with suppliers in multiple countriesProficient with Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable adopting procurement toolsAvailability to travel frequently (primarily Europe, but travels outside of Europe may also be necessary)

Even better if you have

Background in medical devices, electronics, or complex hardware/software product companiesExperience with supplier qualification processes in regulated industriesFamiliarity with supply chain risk frameworks and contingency planning
