Space Systems Engineer

Join a growing European space technology company developing advanced satellite systems, space hardware and mission technologies. They are looking for an experienced Space Systems Engineer to work across system design, mission planning and technical decision-making throughout the full project lifecycle. This is a broad technical role where you will work across multiple spacecraft disciplines including orbit design, AOCS, thermal, structures, propulsion, power, communications and reliability. Key responsibilities:Requirements management and systems engineering throughout the project lifecyclePerforming system-level analysis and technical trade-offs across spacecraft subsystemsSupporting satellite architecture, mission design and system definitionDeveloping and maintaining technical budgets and system-level documentationSupporting projects from early mission studies through development, testing and operationsWorking closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams across hardware, software and systemsActing as a technical point of contact for customers and project stakeholdersSupporting technical proposals and future space mission activities Requirements:5+ years of experience within Space Systems EngineeringMSc or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Space Systems Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related disciplineStrong understanding of systems engineering methodologies and processesExperience working on satellite or spacecraft projects across significant parts of the development lifecycleBroad understanding of spacecraft subsystems such as AOCS, thermal, structures, propulsion, power and communicationsExperience with system requirements, technical trade-offs and interface managementPrevious experience working with ESA, institutional or commercial space programmes would be beneficialTechnical Lead, System Lead or similar leadership experience would be advantageousProfessional fluency in English Additional information:Permanent positionCompetitive salary depending on experienceOpportunity to work across technically complex satellite and space missionsSignificant responsibility and influence across future space systems projects We look forward to your application
