Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you will ensure that critical components are delivered to ABB’s factories with the required quality. You will travel to subcontractor sites to perform quality checks together with the supplier before shipment, focusing on the most important and high‑priority components. Your office will be in Vuosaari, Helsinki, but role requires international travelling around 150 days per year to the suppliers.

You Will Be Mainly Accountable For

Quality checks for components at suppliers manufacturing locationsPerforming final quality inspections at supplier facilities to verify component compliance before delivery to ABB factoriesManagement of quality, delivery and compliance issue resolutionFacilitation of communication between internal teams and suppliersSpecification clarification and requirement alignment with suppliers Work model: hybrid, LI#hybrid

Technical degreeAbility to interpret technical drawings and specifications, including tolerances, surface finish requirements, and fit/function criteriaSeveral years’ working experience in welding or machiningUnderstanding of welding and machining standardsNDT competence (such as MT, PT, UT, VT)Good O365 skills and ability to learn new systemsWillingness to travel internationally about 150 days per year
