🔥 Two PhD Positions | ERC Project on a New Concept for Thermal Energy Harvesting

Can we turn the heat that surrounds us every day into useful electricity? Low-temperature heat is everywhere—from our bodies and electronic devices to industrial processes—but much of it remains difficult to harvest efficiently. With the ERC Starting Grant project HEAT-BRIDGE, we will explore a new concept for efficient thermal energy harvesting by bringing together ionic thermoelectrics, electrochemistry, mixed ionic–electronic materials, and soft electronics. We are now looking for two PhD students to join our team at the Laboratory of Organic Electronics (LOE), Linköping University, Sweden: 🧪 PhD 1 | Ionic Thermoelectrics & Electrochemistry Develop and investigate ionic thermoelectric materials, advanced gel electrolytes, and redox-active materials. ⚡ PhD 2 | Mixed Ionic–Electronic Materials Develop and investigate soft mixed ionic–electronic conducting materials and functional separators. Together, the two PhD students will develop and validate next-generation thermal energy-harvesting devices. Why HEAT-BRIDGE?
