The internship in short

The programme kicks off end of March and will last for 10 weeks (full-time). As an intern, you are recruited to a specific job role where you will be involved in daily business activities and have a great opportunity to explore the environment of banking. You will be guided by at least one tutor during your internship. You will get to know SEB, meet professionals across the WAM division, get to know other interns and start building your network. Wealth & Asset Management

The Wealth & Asset Management division (WAM) serves a wide range of client segments, including high-net-worth individuals, business families, private equity firms, institutional investors and corporate clients.

WAM has approximately 2000 employees across 15 markets: Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, France, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Germany, Luxembourg, the UK, Ireland, Singapore, Poland and Switzerland.

What You Will Do

You will join the Sustainability team within SEB Asset Management. The team supports sustainability integration and active ownership across investment strategies and asset classes. Working closely with sustainability specialists and investment teams, you will contribute to both recurring activities and specific projects.

Support business analysis relating to sustainability integration, active ownership and financial markets.Assist with research, data collection, quality checks and the preparation of internal decision material and presentations.Provide administrative and analytical support during the annual general meeting season, including monitoring information, maintaining records and supporting voting-related workflows.Use AI and digital tools to identify, test and implement practical improvements to existing business processes.Help structure information, document processes and improve the team’s reporting and knowledge management.Collaborate with colleagues across investment, product, risk and other functions within SEB Asset Management.

Who Are You?

You are curious, structured and proactive, with a strong interest in financial markets, AI and sustainability.

You enjoy combining analytical work with practical delivery and are comfortable taking responsibility for both detailed administrative tasks and broader assignments.

You work carefully with data, communicate clearly and collaborate well with people from different professional backgrounds.

You are also keen to learn how sustainability considerations and active ownership are applied in investment processes across asset classes.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, finance, business administration, industrial engineering, engineering physics, engineering mathematics, sustainability or a related field. You have studied at least 2 years at university level Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Excellent written and spoken Swedish and English. A proactive and dependable approach, with the ability to take initiative, organise your work and follow assignments through to completion. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience analysing, structuring or visualising data is an advantage. Familiarity with programming, automation, data tools or software development is an advantage. Practical experience using generative or agentic AI tools to research, analyse information, automate tasks or improve workflows is an advantage.
